Taj Bengal Indian Restaurant

Ordered 2 curries, nan bread and rice to share. Nan bread was competely burnt front and back. I approached the kitchen to ask for replacement/ refund and was met by an extremely rude chef. He completely dismissed my concern and told me that my charcoal covered nan bread was supposed to be completely black. He was extremely rude and arrogant and refused to acknowledge me at all. He also had the audacity to literally turn around and walk away with an attitude of "I'm not dealing with this idiot" while i was in the middle of explaining the problem to him. He could not have cared less that I was unhappy with my food. No refund or replacement was offered. Felt completely disrespected. On top of that, the curry was dry and lacked flavour. Finally, I was told that rice to share was "x" price and was charged a different price after my meal. Totally unsatisfactory experience, I do not often leave reviews, and almost never negative ones. But I was really put off after this horrible experience. Chef/ owner needs to learn how to treat customers and talk to people. Will never be returning here

The smells of absolute spice every time I walk or even used to ride my bike. Sometimes when there isn’t much traffic on the road on water works road I’d slow down to put my window down just to get a whiff of those fantastic smells from Taj Bengal. I’ve been coming here since I was a kid. You are the absolute Best!!! Indian cuisine in Brisbane.

Horrible customer service! The chef/owner tried to justify giving us half the amount of rice for a dine-in meal as they give for takeaway. We could hear the waitresses complaining about customers. And they charged us more than their advertised prices, which is illegal.They don't seem to care at all about providing good customer service. When I challenged the chef about the customer service he didn't seem to care at all. Never going back.

Indian has been one of my favourite meals to get since I was a young boy. I have experienced many upon many restaurants that sell Indian food. Taj Bengal takes my number one spot. It is apparent in every mouthful the effort and skill that goes into making their food. My favourites are the Palaak Paneer, Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka and Garlic Naan. The naan bread is always cooked to perfection. The complimentary rice with curries is an added bonus. Thank you Naseem and the Taj Bengal team for your food.
